I feel satisfied after completing a second day trip to the Uintas. I was able to really take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy some of the many simple nature walks it has to offer. Visiting on an odd weekday after the summer holidays–or when the school season starts up again–definitely guarantees more parking and less people.
Butterfly Lake is a cute little scenic place to stop just off the main highway, but I never had a chance to visit before because it was always overcrowded. Everything was beautifully perfect on this day, just what I needed for my existence to heal and reconnect.
Also, I didn’t know I could take so many pics just from walking around a little lake! I need more self-control when I take photos. It’s a bit excessive at times.
